6 INSTANT CAMERAS FOR 2017

ii

Digital photos are awesome, but there’s nothing like being able to hang a physical photo on your fridge or placing special photos in frames to show them off around your home or office. Did you know that the age of the Polaroid instant photo hasn’t disappeared? Over the last several years a revival has taken place with several interesting instant cameras sprouting up on the market.
Having played around with a couple of these myself, I have to say it’s been a really fun experience. Taking a photo and waiting for it to print out is exciting (which is weird for me to say considering I love instant gratification). And there’s something cool about having to frame a shot right the first time (i.e. not having unlimited attempts to perfectly capture a moment): it takes a measure of skill and
some actual thought. In other words, shooting on a camera that spits out a real, live print is truly worth doing on the right occasion.
Whether you long for the days of the original Polaroid, are looking for an awesome gift idea or just want to experience something new (or is it old…) then these instant cameras might be right up your alley!
